Firmware Update via SD card
This update provides support for SeaGaugeG4 WIFI Gateways with NMEA 2000 interfaces.
New Supported Function
- Update of firmware directly from local file without using internal SD card
- Update of WWW SPIFFs directly from local file without using internal SD card
- Improved assignment of analog calibration files
- Improved WIFI connection using Station mode and weak networks
This update contains one firmware.bin and two spiffs.bin files (www & calibrations)
SeaGaugeG4 firmware can be updated by copy of included firmware.bin file to SeaGaugeG4 SD card using FILES link on the CONFIG web browser page
Once new firmware file is copied to the target FIRMWARE directory, reboot device to load new firmware.
SeaGaugeG4 WWW_SPIFFS files contain updated web server content in a compressed package which is stored in internal memory.
SeaGaugeG4 CALIBRATION_SPIFFS files contain updated analog sensor calibration files in a compressed package which is stored in internal memory.
The complete update requires 3 steps for each file.
1) Unzip file and copy to specified folders in root of SD card
2) Repower SeaGaugeG4 Gateway and wait for SeaGaugeG4-XXXX device to show in WIFI networks list
3) Connect to Gateway via WIFI ADHOC SeaGaugeG4-XXXX and verify the new firmware version in config page is 1.9.3.28.6
